At last we are finally here. The long winter? Come and gone. The NFL Draft and springtime OTAs? In the rearview mirror. The hot summer? Rapidly drawing to a close. It is redraft season once again. What does every fantasy manager need at this critical time of year? A reliable set of rankings that they can use to shape their draft boards, of course. Below you will find the Commish’s top 200 ranked players for the 2024 fantasy season.
Some Context:
- Rankings utilize half PPR scoring and a 1QB format
- Kickers and Defenses have been excluded
- Rankings are subject to change as draft season unfolds
Players 1 – 50: The Building Blocks
As I’ve referenced several times on the podcast, the early rounds are the territory that you do not want to lose your draft in. The top 50 is jam packed with established NFL talent as well as a sprinkling of up and coming players that will be the pillars of successful fantasy teams this Fall.
Players 51-100: Reliable Starters & Key Depth Pieces
A much more diverse range in terms of positional value. Where the top 50 featured only the elite of the elite QBs and TEs, this collection of players is the group to pluck a quality player from one of those positions if you loaded up on RB and WR in the early going. This is the first territory where we will find true league winners that massively perform their ADP and separate the good fantasy teams from the great ones.
Players 101 – 150: Late Round Bench Stashes
In this section of your draft you should only be grabbing starting caliber players at the QB and TE positions. Outside of leagues that utilize a large number of FLEX spots, you should have your weekly starters at RB and WR hammered out by now. That doesn’t mean that you can completely ignore this collection of players, however. While not in your immediate plans, it won’t take much for many of the players in this group to become fantasy viable. An injury or underperformance taking place to a player in front of one of these guys could easily see them jump up the depth chart and pay dividends for fantasy managers.
Players 151 – 200: Deep Stashes & Waiver Wire Watches
This ranking’s final collection of players consists of those that will either be occupying the end of your bench or won’t be getting drafted at all. It is important to remember that these guys are the first ones you will cut from your roster if they don’t get off to a fast start. Stay mindful of who is available on your league’s waiver wire and don’t be afraid to be constantly shuffling the bottom of your roster in search of diamonds in the rough.
