Dynasty Super Flex TE Premium Mock Draft - Round 1

Context:
- Format: 12 Team Super Flex 1.75 TE Premium. PPR for all other positions. 6 points for passing TDs
- Where players are selected during the NFL Draft will change where these players go in future mocks
1.01 Ashton Jeanty: RB – Boise State
No scorching hot take at the top of this draft board. Jeanty is going to be the top running back selected in next week’s NFL Draft, and the 2024 Doak Walker winner remains the consensus 1.01 in all dynasty formats.
1.02 Omarion Hampton: RB – UNC
Is Hampton in the same tier as Jeanty? No, he is not. But the 6’0” 221 lb back out of North Carolina is a force in his own right. After 2 seasons of terrorizing the ACC, Hampton makes the jump to the pro level where he is projected to be a 1st round selection. Hampton has the necessary size and traits to lead an NFL RB room from day 1 and it’s no shock that he didn’t last very long in this exercise.
1.03 Cam Ward: QB – Miami
Following back-to-back rushers come off the board, the first signal caller rounds out the top 3. Ward may not be the perfect prospect, but the Titans are zeroing in on him at the top of the NFL Draft, which in turn is going to buy him a long runway to succeed as a pro. As we know, QB is king in the NFL, and the same can be said for super flex dynasty leagues. The range of outcomes with Ward is a wide one, but if he hits his ceiling, he’ll be a set it an forget it starter in super flex lineups for years to come.
1.04 Tyler Warren: TE – Penn State
Did I mention this is a 1.75 TE Premium league where elite TEs are Bonafide cheat codes? The 6’5” 256 lb Warren exploded to the tune of 104 receptions. 1,233 receiving yards and 12 total TDs in his final season with the Nittany Lions and is primed to be a 1st round NFL Draft selection. Warren will be an instant upgrade to any NFL Tight End Room he steps into, and his fantasy upside is immense.
1.05 Tetairoa McMillan: WR – Arizona
This big bodied wide receiver gives off Drake London vibes and is oozing with TD upside at the next level. Tet enters the NFL after setting the college football landscape ablaze for the last 2 seasons. Pay those that would fade Tet this late into draft season no mind and select the former Wildcat with confidence in the top 5 of your dynasty leagues.
1.06 Quinshon Judkins: RB – Ohio State
A blend of ultra production and athleticism, the 6’0 221 lb back comes off the board at the 1.06. Judkins has the necessary size to carry the mail for an NFL offense. A likely second round selection, Judkins plays with tenacity and aggressiveness and should have a nose for end zone at the next level.
1.07 TreVeyon Henderson: RB – Ohio State
Fittingly, the other side of the 2 headed Ohio State rushing monster hears his name called next. Henderson was the lightning to Judkins’ thunder and has electrifying player maker written all over him as a pro. Henderson projects to be a plus in the receiving game and has the tools to develop as a pass blocker. Both traits scream 3rd down monster who is capable of shouldering more than enough early down work to be an impact fantasy producer.
1.08 Colston Loveland: TE – Michigan
Tyler Warren’s upside as a blocker will see him be the first tight end selected come next week’s draft, and rightfully so, but it could be argued that Loveland has greater upside as a pass catcher at the pro level. And as far as fantasy is concerned, that’s all we care about. Continually mocked as a first-round selection, Loveland won’t last long in TE Premium leagues. A reunion with his former college coach, Jim Harbaugh, sound intriguing to anyone else?
1.09 Kaleb Johnson: RB – Iowa
The former Hawkeye thumper weighed in at healthy 224 lbs and has all the makings of a high-volume NFL rusher. Some may be scared off by his 4.57 40-yard dash, but at his size, that number won’t preclude me from buying any dip that I can on Johnson come draft day. Johnson is being routinely mocked in round 2 of the NFL Draft, and such capital would be music to the ears of dynasty managers.
1.10 Emeka Egbuka: WR – Ohio State
Managers selecting late in the first round of their dynasty leagues should consider themselves fortunate that Egbuka is still hanging around on the board. One of the safer WR prospects in this class, Egbuka may never become a top tier super star, but should provide a high floor with upside for more. Currently being mocked as a late 1st or early 2nd round NFL draft pick, don’t let the former Buckeye slip out of round 1 in your dynasty drafts.
1.11 Matthew Golden: WR – Texas
Where Egbuka comes with a high floor, Golden is the swing for the fence’s selection late in the first round of drafts. Some mock drafts even see Golden selected as the top WR off the board come NFL Draft time. The reason why you ask? You just can’t teach 4.29 speed, folks. Make no mistake, the hype will reach a pitch when he does inevitably become a first-round selection.
1.12 Luther Burden: WR – Missouri
Despite a down 2024 campaign where Burden’s box score numbers were held back by poor QB play, Burden sneaks into round 1 in this exercise. Burden lined up in the slot on 86% of his offensive snaps a season ago and that’s where he projects to make his bones in the NFL. Burden is likely a second-round pick in the NFL Draft, and a premiere landing spot could see him firmly entrenched as a first round dynasty pick.
